INCF Japan Node Program Overview
INCF Japan Node (J-Node) manages the following programs. Neuroinformatics Japan Center (NIJC) supports all the programs.
Neuroinformatics Platforms
INCF Japan Node promotes development of Neuroinformatics web databases all over Japan by organizing collaboration with subcommittees with respect to individual neuroscience topics. We call the neuroinformatics web database and subcommittee Platform (PF for short) and Platform subcommittee, respectively.

J-Node Portal
NIJC develops and manages the J-Node Platform toward the integrative uses of the databases given at the J-Node Neuroinformatics Platforms and collaboration in and around neuroinformatics fields.
Infrastructure for Neuroinformatics
Most of J-Node neuroinformatics platforms are managed by Xoops/XooNIps. XooNIps has been developed as Contents Management System for Open Source at RIKEN. The J-Node Software Center has been launched for collaborative development of sources
J-Node Hackathon
The J-Node Hackathon is organized for collaborative development of software for sharing data, model and analysis tools. Not only J-Node Platform members but also people in related fields join through public subscription. The topics include visualization tools of brain image data, standard metadata and so on. The activity reports and source codes are available at the J-Node Portal.

J-Node Education and Training Committee
The J-Node Education and Training Committee has been launched since 2015. This committee aims to promote development of tutorial contents on the platforms and also to organize the short course for students and scientists.
J-Node International Workshop Advances in Neuroinformatics (AINI)
The workshop AINI is held once a year to promote neuroinformatics. The aim of AINI consists of information sharing on the state-of-the-art research on the neuroinformatics, presentation of outcomes of developed by J-Node Platforms and exchanges among people in interdisciplinary fields surrounding neuroinformatics. Every workshop also includes a tutorial session.
All presentation abstracts are electronically published with DOI on J-Node Portal.

Participation and Cooperation at Academic Meetings
J-Node regularly participates in the following meetings for demonstration and cooperation.
Demonstration at the annual meeting of Japan Neuroscience Society
Presentation and Demonstration at the INCF Congress
Demonstration at the annual meeting of Society for Neuroscience
Co-organization of Japan-China-Korea Joint Workshop, Neurobiology and Neuroinformatics (NBNI)
NBNI 2014 Okazaki NBNI 2011 Okinawa
Articles on the past meetings are available at Meeting/Event of the J-Node Portal News.
Announcements of coming events are also given in those pages.
DOI registration support
NIJC supports to register DOI for the J-Node academic resources. NIJC is a regular member of the Japan Link Center(JaLC).
From Oct.2014 to Sep. 2015, NIJC participated to JaLC organized project 'The Experimental Project of DOI Registration for Research Data', and contributed to develop 'Guidelines for Registering DOIs for Research Data'.
