Dr. Kang Cheng, Unit Leader of Functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging, RRC, RIKEN BSI passed away on Tuesday, November 8th. He was a chair of NeuroImaging Platform (2014) and a core member of NeuroImaging Platform (2014-2016). We would like to pay our sincere thanks and respects to his contribution to neuroimaging studies. We pray that his soul may rest in peace.
The J-Node Education and Training Committee has been launched by decision at NIJC Steering Committee on Sep. 15, 2016. Prior to this decision, a meeting on the education chaired by Prof. Ryoji Suzuki was held at the Kanazawa Institute of Technology on August 4 2016. The challenge and perspective of education in this interdisciplinary field were discussed. The committee is going to start the strategic activities in collaboration with J-Node platforms.
International Neuroinformatics Coordinating Facility (INCF) has called for applications for seed funding of collaborative brain research projects as one of the third phase (2016-2020) programs. INCF Japan node is one of the governing boards, so any researchers in Japan are eligible to apply as PI (Principal investigators). There are two types of funding available, project funding and travel grants. Submission deadline is November 30th, 2016. We encourage your application.
XooNIps Workshop 2015 will be held in Osaka organized by Keio University Media Center.
