J-Node organizes joint meetings of NIJC steering committee, Platforms meeting and System administrator meeting twice a year. As the first meeting of this fiscal year, the joint meeting was held on August 8-9 at RIKEN Wako. The meeting documents are available for J-Node portal login users.
The photo in the left hand side was taken by Dr. Kanzaki (University of Tokyo) after the meeting at Nihonium Street that has been recently named in cerebration of the discovery of the element 113.
We are pleased to announce that Canada has joined INCF from February 2017. Following Sweden, Norway, Australia, Malaysia and Japan, they will become the sixth governing node. Please see the INCF news here.
INCF has launched a seed funding scheme to support international collaborative projects. This time, the application from Dr. Hiroaki Wagatsuma, (Chairperson of Dynamic Brain Platform) has been adopted. The aim of his project is to develop database using NIX/ odML for the sharing of EGG data in cooperation with Germany Node and Czech Republic Node. This funding is to be called out twice a year, the next submission will open in mid-February again and the deadline is March 16, 2017. Even if the application was not adopted this time, there is a still a chance for adoption for the next call.
Neuroinformatics Japan Center has published the online journal "Advances in Neuroinformatics IV" on INCF Japan Node Portal. The contents are abstracts of 4th INCF Japan Node International Workshop Advances in Neuroinformatics 2016 and 14th INCF Nodes Workshop. Each abstract includes one figure and DOI. Please visit below.
