On RIKEN Open Day, April 22, 2017, Neuroinformatics Japan Center demonstrated a hands-on event, " Find your subjective color by spinning a top". Materials related to the demonstration has been released at Tutorial Content page of this portal. It includes questionnaire, summary on the individual difference of subjective color seeing, how to make a top and a review article on the subjective color.
ViBrism Database (DB), a platform of the J-node, has been renewed. ViBrism DB is a database for gene expression distribution maps underlying brain structures and functions: the comprehensive 3 dimensional (3D) maps were created with Transcriptome Tomography. The DB now contains 36,558 3D maps of the adult mouse brain and 135,464 maps in total of 3 maturation stages (3 and 7 days, and 3 weeks after the birth).
On March 21, 2017, the Brain/MINDS Data Portal was opened to the public for serving the Brain/MINDS database. The project’s core institute is RIKEN, where the Neuroinformatics Japan Center (NJIC) is located. NIJC contributes to the technical development of the database construction and its management. The first release of the data portal provides representative content of the research themes being conducted in Brain/MINDS. The data portal will be developed further as more data is collected.

We are pleased to announce the launch of our new platform: KANPHOS (Kinase-Associated Neural Phospho-Signaling). The platform is an online database for phosphoproteomics involved in intracellular signal transduction in the neural system. All the data are controlled for quality via review and database curation by our professional staffs. Please visit here for more details.
We are pleased to announce that Dr. Noriro Kobayashi (Advanced Center for Computing and Communications, RIKEN) et al. received the Best Paper Award for his research paper about RIKEN MetaDatabase at the Joint International Semantic Technology Conference (JIST 2016) held in Singapore on November 2-4. RIKEN MetaDatabase is a database publication platform based on the Semantic Web technologies including RDF, and the databases on the J-Node platforms will be integrated in RIKEN MetadDatabase.
