1) Neuro 2013 (Neuroscience/Neurochemistry/Neural Network)

Neuro 2013 (the joint conference of Neuroscience/Neurochemistry/
Neural Network) will be held at Kyoto International Conference
Center from June 20 to 23, 2013. The Japan Node will have
a booth. The Japan Node Platform participants are asked to
assist and will be notified of the details later.

2) 6th INCF Congress of Neuroinformatics

The 6th INCF Congress of Neuroinformatics 2013 will be held in
Stockholm, Sweden.
Period: August 27-29, 2013
Venue: Karolinska Institutet
Abstract submission deadline is April 8, 2013.
The event is open for registration. Early bird registration
deadline is June 1.

3) AMT-BHI in Maebashi

The 2013 International Conferences on Active Media Technology
(AMT 2013) and Brain and Health Informatics (BHI 2013) will be
held in Maebashi, Gumma. Prof. Yuichiro Anzai and Prof. Shinsuke
Shimojo are among the keynote speakers.
Period: October 29-31, 2013
Venue: Maebashi Terrsa
Full paper submission deadline is April 15, 2013.
Abstract submission deadline is July 15, 2013.

For the third year, INCF will participate as a mentoring

6) Call for papers: Frontiers in Neuroinformatics special topic

INCF encourages submitting papers on Frontiers in Neuroinformatics
special topic, "Recent advances and the future generation of
neuroinformatics infrastructure".

7) 5th Open Symposium of MEXT Strategic Research Program
for Brain Sciences

The 5th Open Symposium of the MEXT Strategic Research Program
for Brain Sciences on the topic, "Brain sciences sustained by
the basic research - from Japan to the world", was held on
February 2, 2013. Professors Kouzo kaibuchi (Nagoya University),
Junichiro Yoshimoto (OIST) and Shiro Usui (NIJC/Toyohashi
University of Technology) participated with posters and presentations
on "Building an information infrastructure for brain science
research: Phosphorylated proteomics database".

NIJC Visiting Researcher Colin Molter's work was introduced
in the March 2013 issue of RIKEN RESEARCH in an article titled
